Losing And Finding The Passion

I had not touched games for a long time. Since my studies started anyway.

And then today I tried Magic The Gathering Battlegrounds. It doesn’t amaze me the way other games do, but its linear structure just kept me going and going. I’ve played the original Magic The Gathering card game before, so having something that was familiar yet not completely the same was refreshing.

Although I wonder where I’ll be once I finish the quests for this game. I have not and have no intention of subscribing to Xbox Live. Either I stop gaming once more or I move on to another game.

I suppose time will tell…

Memories Through Music

It’s amazing what you can dig up.

There’s an album called The Very Best of Sega, with tracks from Sonic, Panzer Dragoon, Streets of Rage and more. There’s also another album, three volumes worth, called Famicon 20th Anniversary Original Sound Tracks. And there’s the very last, great Mario & Zelda Big Band Live (thanks Marill for getting me the DVD, heh).

What am I naming all these albums for? I can’t play the games short of downloading an emulator and ROMs (not that that’s a problem for me), but there are times I just want to listen to the music of a particular old game and do some other work. Ahh, living the world of games through music.
