Ragnarok Chronicles: Chapter 1

I am now playing two characters, one called “afelia” the other called “ironrose”… afelia is my archer while ironrose is my mage (or, rather, magician but I never did liked that word so there)…

Afelia journeys around Payon gaining experience in her travels. She was mentored by her brother, Seraph Angelic, who is now on hiatus after a long spell as an acolyte. He has also gifted to her many good items (that he no longer needs) which more than once, saved her from being killed by a savage Picky. Afelia has killed more than a few Willows in her time and has more recently started on Snakes. She continues on Pickys and Super Pickys but only when she can’t find those (damn) Snakes. She has yet to have been poisoned by a Snake but she knows it is just a matter of time. She would strive to be careful in the future.

She knows how to Double Strafe and has started using the skill, Arrow Shower, more often. But nowadays, she is more dependent on her trusty Damascus Sword that Seraph Angelic gave to her before they parted ways. It has caused some trouble recently as she seeks to train her first student, Pasir Ris Cres Sch, because every blow was just so overwhelming. But she finds that she can deal enough blows with her bare hands too and the path to becoming a more efficient mentor-guide is more smooth sailing. Her martial arts and continued endurance has certainly improved tremendously.

Alas, while brazenly attacking a Steel Chon-chon, she died, having overestimating her own skills and hit points. She left behind her student near Prontera having been speedily transported by the ever-efficient “Go back to Save Point” and recovered near Payon’s gates. She journeys back now to the desert lands in hopes of finding her long lost pupil.

Iron Rose is a new mage in Ragnarok, but, thanks to Seraph Angelic’s intervention, has succeeded in gaining not only Level 10 Fire Bolt skills but also Fire Ball. This has given her a decided edge over other newbie mages who would have to struggle with their low level skills and (at the point) pretty much useless Status Points. She is very glad to have met Seraph Angelic who has taken off the time and effort (not to mention SPs) to coach her into magehood.

But, as a novice, she had found much difficulty in attaining magehood. She had not met Seraph yet and had to cut her way through Porings, Chon-chons and Fabres to gain even an experience point. She also had to deal with the multitudes of KS-ers (Kill Stealers) who continually get in her way to which she would say “F-off you F-er.” To be sure, she knows her language is foul but it is the only way she can vent her frustrations upon these theives. Her other form of recourse is not available (as yet) but it is only a matter of time. (Insert evil laughter.) But, to her credit, she has not been a KS-er herself and has always counselled newbies not to take the easy path of temptation by becoming a KS-er. What comes around goes around, after all, and Iron Rose is sure to remember those who has crossed her. Her thirst for revenge needs to be quenched.

Since Seraph Angelic has gone on hiatus, she has chosen to roam around Payon. She hopes to one day make her way to the Ant Hell and test her skills but the time is not ripe. So, she goes on with Willows and other monsters who bore her very much at the moment. She also hopes to get a bit of First Aid skill and to be able to make a little Apple Juice. Her culinary skill is admitted abysmal but she would like to improve herself. At least now she would not burn the meat in which she has skinned off a few Condors.

When not using her magic skills, she attacks with a huge Staff (yet another present from the generous Seraph). She has long since sold off her old Vital Rod. She quite misses it but moves on in her journey through Ragnarok. A friend of Seraph Angelic, Master Agatio, has given her a cute Santa hat. Though she knows it looks quite unlike the mage she envisions herself to be, she finds that she has become quite fond of that red cap. She continues to wear it. If you ever meet a long, raven-haired mage called Iron Rose with a red Santa cap, please say hello. ^_^
